Some children thrive in a lively group; others do their best work with a mentor who is fully theirs. Our 1-on-1 private coding & AI classes give your child a dedicated software engineer, a plan built around their exact level and goals, and a schedule that bends around your family. It's the most personalised way to learn to code — and a favourite for shy kids, fast learners, and children with a specific goal in mind.

Why choose 1-on-1?

A personalised pace

No batch to keep up with and nothing to wait for. Your child moves as fast — or as carefully — as they need, on the projects that excite them most.

A dedicated engineer-mentor

Your child is taught by a real software engineer — not a script-reading tutor — who gets to know how they think and mentors them one-to-one every week.

A fully flexible schedule

Pick weekday (after school) OR weekend slots that fit around school and activities, across time zones — and adjust week to week when life gets busy.

You choose the focus

Scratch, AI & Machine Learning (including the new AI Agents & Agentic AI module), or Python — or a custom mix. The curriculum is shaped around your child.

Private lessons are a great fit for shy kids who freeze up in a group, fast learners who feel held back, children preparing for a competition, portfolio, or school project, and anyone who needs to catch up or fill gaps at their own pace. If you'd prefer peer energy and better value, our small-batch group courses are an excellent alternative — and we'll happily help you choose.

How it works

1

Book a free demo

Tell us your child's age and interests and we'll set up a free, no-obligation 1-on-1 demo lesson at a time that suits you.

2

We assess level & goals

In the demo the mentor gets to know your child, gauges their current level, and understands what you both want to achieve.

3

Custom plan & schedule

We build a personalised learning plan — Scratch, AI, Python, or a mix — and agree on a weekly time and a price that fits.

4

Weekly live 1:1 classes

Your child meets their mentor each week for live private lessons, building real projects and progressing at their own pace.

What your child can learn

The curriculum is flexible and chosen with you. A private plan can draw from any of our tracks:

Scratch

  • Block-based coding fundamentals
  • Build games, stories & animations
  • Loops, variables & logic through play

AI Explorers

  • Train image, sound & pose models
  • Prompt engineering & AI ethics
  • NEW: AI Agents & Agentic AI

Python

  • Real text-based programming
  • Mini-projects, games & automations
  • A foundation for competitions & portfolios

Curious about the full AI track? See our AI course for kids — every topic in it can be taught one-to-one at your child's pace.

Who it's for

  • Shy or quiet kids who feel more confident without an audience
  • Fast learners who want to race ahead without waiting for a batch
  • Competition & portfolio prep — hackathons, olympiads, or a standout school project
  • Catching up or filling gaps at a comfortable, pressure-free pace
  • Families with busy schedules who need fully flexible weekday or weekend timing

Pricing

Custom to your child's plan

Because every private plan is different — the track, the pace, and how many classes a week — pricing is tailored, not one-size-fits-all. Tell us your child's age and goals and we'll recommend a plan and price. Start with a free demo; there's no obligation to continue.

1-on-1 Coding & AI Classes — FAQs

What are 1-on-1 coding classes and how are they different from group classes?+

1-on-1 (private) coding classes are live online lessons where your child works alone with a dedicated software-engineer mentor — no other students in the session. Unlike a group batch that follows a fixed pace and shared curriculum, a private class is built entirely around your child: the mentor sets the speed, picks projects your child is excited about, and spends the full hour answering only your child’s questions. Group classes are wonderful for peer motivation and value, while 1-on-1 is best when you want a fully personalised pace, a custom schedule, or focused attention on a specific goal.

Is 1-on-1 coaching worth the extra cost over a group course?+

It depends on your child and your goals. Private lessons cost more per hour because your child gets a mentor’s undivided attention, a plan made just for them, and a schedule that bends around your family — so progress is usually faster and every minute is spent exactly where your child needs it. It’s often the best fit for shy kids who freeze up in a group, fast learners who feel held back, and children preparing for a competition, school project, or portfolio. If value and peer energy matter more, our small-batch group courses are a great, more affordable option — book a free demo and we’ll honestly recommend the right one.

What can my child learn in private classes?+

You choose the focus. Beginners usually start with block-based coding in Scratch to build games and animations. From there, your child can move into our AI & Machine Learning track — training image, sound and pose recognition models, prompt engineering, and the new AI Agents & Agentic AI module — or into Python for young developers. Many families mix tracks: a few weeks of Scratch, then AI, then Python. Because it’s private, the mentor tailors every project to your child’s age, level and interests.

How flexible is the scheduling?+

Fully flexible. Because it’s just your child and the mentor, we schedule weekday (after school) or weekend slots that fit around school, sports and other activities — and we can adjust week to week if life gets busy. We teach families across many time zones, so we’ll agree on a time that works locally for you. Tell us your preferred days and times and we’ll match your child with a mentor who is available then.

What ages are private coding & AI classes for?+

Ages 6 to 16. Younger children (6–9) usually begin with visual, drag-and-drop Scratch coding and playful AI activities. Older kids (10–16) can go deeper into Machine Learning, AI Agents, and text-based Python. Because the class is 1-on-1, the mentor pitches everything at exactly the right level — there is no “too young” or “too advanced” for a private plan.

How do we start — is there a free trial?+

Yes. Every family starts with a free 1-on-1 demo lesson — no payment and no obligation. In the demo we meet your child, assess their current level and goals, and you get to see the mentor in action. If it’s a good fit, we build a custom plan, agree on a schedule and price, and begin weekly live private classes. Just fill in the form on this page or visit our contact page to book.
